The Curfew

The Curfew is new point and click adventure game from Kieron Gillen developed by UK's Channel 4. Set in 2027 in the heart of an authoritarian security state, The Curfew could be described as a miniature Canterbury Tales set in a not-so-distant future, where citizens must abide by government security measures and 'sub citizens' are placed under curfew at night.

The player must navigate this complex political world and engage with the characters they meet along the way to work out who they should trust in order to gain freedom.

Choose wisely and you could change the course of history. Choose poorly, and it'll be changed for you.

Cast of Characters

The Boy: Lucas
Lucas is bored: he is young, antisocial and rebellious. He doesn't seem to care about risking both his freedom and future citizenship, simply to get hold of a non-government sanitized videogame... the more 'banned' it is, the more he desires it.

But can he be trusted?

The Immigrant: Aisha
Aisha is an Iraqi immigrant who came to the UK when she was four. She's attractive, conscientious and British and has no desire to return to a country she can't remember. In The Curfew she is on a mission to find the man who can get her replacement work permits to prevent her parents from being deported.

But can she be trusted?

The Curfew, a new adventure webgame from Channel 4 and Littleloud, written by Kieron Gillen, released Summer 2010.

Worth staying in for.

The Dissident: Leah
Leah is an enemy of the system: she uses drugs, breaks curfew, and refuses to conform to the rules of society. She runs illegal post-curfew parties in Brighton, using her bureaucratic day job as cover and backup.

But she has been driven to blackmail after her own after-curfew revolutionary-hedonism has been discovered.

Can she be trusted?

The Ex-Policeman: Saul
Saul, 40, works in security, is divorced with two kids whom he misses but makes no effort to stay in touch with. On this night he has spent the evening covering up an ex-colleague's crimes.

He doesn't want trouble, but unfortunately for him his friends have made that unavoidable.

Can he be trusted?
